Covid-19 Policy

What we are doing to keep audiences safe

Revised 12/1/2023

We are working hard to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable on their visit to the Finborough Theatre. We will be reviewing these protocols every month and will lift them all as soon as we feel it is safe to do so.

The Finborough Theatre is a very intimate venue, normally seating 50 people in very close proximity, and can only be ventilated fully when a performance is not in progress. Since reopening in September 2021, we have sadly been forced to cancel five productions due to Covid (prior to them performing at the theatre itself), and we cannot insure against such cancellations. We must take extra precautions to ensure the safety of performers, staff, and audience members in our space.

Please read our Covid Policy carefully:

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE THEATRE IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS OR SUSPECTED SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19.

Audience members may be temperature-checked upon their arrival at the theatre.

Hand sanitiser is readily available from stations throughout the building.

Our staff will be wearing masks for your safety as well as their own.

Due to the layout of the Finborough Theatre and the proximity of audience both to performers and each other, we strongly recommend wearing a face mask at all times, including during the performance.

We have reduced our audience capacity by 5, and increased our ticket prices to reflect this.

We strongly encourage booking tickets online in advance, and prefer contactless/card payments where possible.

We have a stringent cleaning regime in place, and we will be ventilating the theatre as much as we possibly can.

COVID PASS SUNDAYS
In order to ensure that the Finborough Theatre is still accessible for vulnerable audiences with underlying health conditions, or those who would just prefer it, all Sunday matinee performances are Covid Pass Sundays when we will ask for mask wearing.
